OH NO! Tomorrow is the LAST day for Poplar Head Farmers Market in downtown Dothan this year! “But.. But… But… I’m hooked on the Sassy Apricot Jam! And I NEED my Rosemary Salt! And fresh real produce! What will I do?” Funny you should ask. 🙂 Check out www.marketatdothan.com. It’s an online farmers market right here in the Wiregrass. It runs all year round, and all the vendors use natural growing methods with no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. Fresh produce, jams, pasture raised chickens and eggs, beef, lamb, tasty treats and other fun stuff. Order on the weekend, then your order is delivered to Dothan, Daleville/Ft Rucker and Enterprise the following Friday. Great quality food, and it helps support your local farm families.

It’s early for Christmas lights, but when you’re trying to save your sugar snap peas from an early cold snap, you do whatever it takes! Hopefully, between the floating row cover and the heat from the lights, I can save at least some of the existing pea pods and the new blossoms.

Look at the size difference between these two chicks. There is exactly a one week difference between the two. The older is developing feathers, the younger one is still fuzzy. It’s incredible how fast things change day to day, but you don’t realize it until you step outside it. Kinda like life. Enjoy today, my friends. It will be different tomorrow.
