First winter squash bloom! Love watching the bees work these big blooms. Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, we’ll have acorn, butternut, delicata, gold nugget, candy roaster, sunshine, black forest and angel hair spaghetti squash. Phew! Looking forward to all those fall farmers markets!

It’s planting time. Put these lovely chard transplants out a couple days ago. They don’t mind the frost. This weekend starts the tomatoes, peppers and eggplant.
