When the Junebugs decide that this pear is the very best one on the tree 🤣. Ok, you guys can have this one. We’ll use the rest to make our Avalon Farms Ginger Pear and Pear Honey jams. These are on the pear tree that was “the old pear tree” when Wendy’s dad was a little boy. He’s in his mid 70s now.

Remember those wilted winter squash from yesterday? Same squash, this morning. Those big umbrella leaves wilting is a survival mechanism to make it through the heat. It reduces plant water loss as the drooping leaves expose less surface area to the sun. God’s designs are amazing!.

It’s just a little bit hot outside! The leaves on these Georgia Candy Roasters squash look like limp green washcloths hung out to dry. Thank God for drip irrigation!
