It’s early for Christmas lights, but when you’re trying to save your sugar snap peas from an early cold snap, you do whatever it takes! Hopefully, between the floating row cover and the heat from the lights, I can save at least some of the existing pea pods and the new blossoms.
We’re going to have all sorts of goodies at Poplar Head and Ozark farmers markets this week. All naturally grown, with only organic units: Fresh green and red cabbage Red and white kale Assorted summer squash Broccoli Senposai greens Asparagus Leeks Fruit leather Fresh eggs Whole chickens Say Apricot jam Rosemary and Garlic salt (Phew! I’m tired just typing all that, let alone harvesting, loading and hauling it! 🙂) Come see us Saturday morning from 8 till noon at Poplar Head Farmers Market in Dothan on North Foster across from Churches chicken Find us at the Ozark Farmers Market on Tuesday afternoon from 230 till 530 at the Amphitheater lawn in downtown Ozark.
