Comments Off on Remember those wilted winter squash from yesterday? Same squash, this morning. Those big umbrella leaves wilting is a survival mechanism to make it through the heat. It reduces plant water loss as the drooping leaves expose less surface area to the sun. God’s designs are amazing!.
Comments Off on It’s just a little bit hot outside! The leaves on these Georgia Candy Roasters squash look like limp green washcloths hung out to dry. Thank God for drip irrigation!
Comments Off on First winter squash bloom! Love watching the bees work these big blooms. Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, we’ll have acorn, butternut, delicata, gold nugget, candy roaster, sunshine, black forest and angel hair spaghetti squash. Phew! Looking forward to all those fall farmers markets!
