28 chickens and 7 hours later (I can’t begin to tell you all the screwy things that went wrong, including escapes, recaptures and equipment problems!). It’s been a very long day, but it’s finally done. Final pay per hour – don’t even ask! More improvements to be made. Onwards and upwards!

Herding the new young chickens out to garden area to eat the leftover squash and all the tasty bugs! And, of course, add lots of nutrients (chicken poops ) to the garden for next year’s crops. The beauty of sustainable farming!
