The ladies are getting a nice snack from the garden 2 clean up. They like it all, but love turnips the best. Feeding them the garden excess/waste helps keep them healthy, gives them better testing eggs and helps in reducing our supplemental feed costs.

The only advantage to daylight savings time is I’ve already had my coffee by the time the sun comes up, so I can fully appreciate the beauty.

This is the closest we’ve gotten to snow in the last few years. That’s going to be one tasty cabbage.

  • Good morning, Dothan! The fall Farmers Market is open today from 8:00 until noon on North Foster Street . We have naturally grown fresh cukes, summer squash, gourmet salts, our sassy apricot jam, pickles, and praline pecans. Other vendors have local meat, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, collards boiled peanuts and other local produce. And don’t forget the craft vendors! The Tamale and Cajun food trucks are here for a delicious lunch. Stop by and get your fresh local produce, and support your local farmers. Buy fresh, buy local!
